How Does DC PoE Power Converter Works?
The DC dish power converter accepts a wide range of 10V to 48V input DC power and converts it into 100-watt 51V 2.2A DC power. It supports various DC input power sources like solar panels, batteries, or vehicle power supplies.
The output port is an RJ45 socket with a T-568B standard wiring order that supplies positive voltage (V+) on 1/2/4/5 and negative voltage (V-) on 3/6/7/8.

Swap Wires for Starlink Dish
Turn off the PoE handshake to directly output up to 100 watts of power for the Starlink Dishy Gen2 (Rectangular 19×12″). It supplies a peak of 120 watts to send sufficient power when the Dish is booting up.
The DC converter outputs V+ on 1/2/4/5 and V- on 3/6/7/8 with 0~2.2 Amps current and 50~53 Voltage. The dish cable must be swapped to the correct wire order on the RJ45 connector before powering up on its PoE port. If you are not using the swapped RJ45 connector, please consult with us for a suitable powering plan.
Note: The PoE handshake switch should be turned off since the Dish does not support the PoE handshake protocol.

PoE PSE/PD Protocol
When its PoE handshake switch is turned on, the DC-to-PoE power converter becomes a standard PoE PSE (power sourcing equipment). Before sending power, it detects if the connected device is PoE-capable by looking for a specific signature resistance.
If a PoE PD (powered device) is detected, the converter requests the PD’s power class to show how much power it requires. Refer to the chart below.
Finally, the DC power converter provides the requested power level over the Ethernet cable. It’s capable of supporting all the standard PoE(+/++) devices.
Alert! Do not use it to power up non-PoE standard devices.

Diagnosis Indicators
Quickly identify and debug the working status and performance of LED indicators.
- Green: Turns on when input is qualified DC power that has 10V~48V voltage.
- Red: Turns on Red when the input voltage is below 9Volt. When only the red light is illuminated, the PoE output voltage will decrease, serving a protective function.
- Yellow: It turns on when the input voltage exceeds 49V and increases the PoE output voltage. At this point, troubleshooting is needed to eliminate the fault, as high voltage may damage the powered client.
