The CAT16 router is a cost-effective mobile internet solution that provides gigabit internet accessibility with a maximum LTE data throughput of 1 Gbps. The CAT16 modem router enables fast 4G mobile data transmission at an economical cost and with lower data consumption, making it ideal for outdoor cameras, rural homes, temporary sites, and backup internet setups.

When the router is powered on, it automatically reads the SIM card and connects to nearby mobile towers. The CAT16 modem communicates with the cell tower to identify available 4G LTE bands and activates carrier aggregation to maximize internet speed. Then, it converts the digital mobile data into Wi-Fi and Ethernet signals to share the mobile internet connection with phones, tablets, cameras, computers, etc.

CAT16 Modem Technology

CAT16 is an LTE-Advanced Pro category between standard 4G and 5G cellular technologies. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SDX24 and compliant with 3GPP Release 14, it delivers gigabit speeds with improved efficiency.

5x Carrier Aggregation
Supporting up to 5x20 MHz intra-band and inter-band carrier aggregation, the CAT16 modem enhances bandwidth for large data throughput.

3x3 MIMO Antennas
It uses three mobile antennas to handle signals and data through spatial multiplexing, enabling multiple data streams on the 4G frequency bands.

256-QAM Modulation
Higher-order modulation encodes more data bits into each signal transmission.
